I also have to say I completely toasted that blue loctite wheel ’cause lightweight road wheels/hubs can’t always hang with the torquing of fixed gear riding. Well, they were cool while they lasted.

Personally, I love the mustache bar. I tend to run them at saddle level for road riding, and not more than an inch or two lower than that on my mountain bike.

The hand position just happens to fit my natural position pretty perfectly.

Damn while your freezing your ass off in Vermont, we’ll be riding in 60 to70 degree weather here in Miami Brrrrrr. HaHa life’s just not fair , but then we got to avoid crazy foreign drivers all day!

My advice: Find a coffee shop 7 or 8 miles away and ride there for breakfast, every work day. Makes for a nice “commute”.

How are the plans going for the “offroad fixedgear gallery” style of blog. Still looking for content/pictures?

“In this world of ten thousand things.”

I always imagined that it meant something like: “The world has its limits, though they be many.” Very appropriate if you think what limits the bike also multiplies the options for you and your bike. Disappointing when we become so fixated on fast bikes with one gear that we can’t think of much else. But I gather the whole driving thing is over anyway.
